Tour Description:

Leave no stones unturned as you explore the stretch of the Bang Kachao that is deep in the Yannawa and Phra Khanong districts of Bangkok. The Bang Krachao is an artificial island that is filled to the brim with luscious green sceneries that seems to stretch far and wide and it is the best place to get some fresh air made by nature, away from the throng of the cities. The artificial island can sometimes be referred to as the “Green Lungs of Bangkok” due to its abundance of flora and fauna. The beautiful island that is safely hidden between the palms and the waterway of the Chao Phraya river adds to the serenity and tranquility of the island. The island was once made to allow the ethnic Burmese Mons as they make up more than 40,000 residents to settle in and the island is made up of mostly lush gardens and orchards.

Your journey begins on the Sukhumvit Road where you will traverse a short distance through the city before crossing the river. Then you will travel through the beautiful lavish vegetations before you are able to see and observe the bustling community made out of the inhabitants of the island carrying out their day-to-day activity. Pass by various building of different uses, which includes temples, gardens, schools and floating markets.

The Talad Nam Pheung Floating Market offers a wide variety of Thai food, herbal cosmetics, organic produce and many more for you to discover where stalls will sit along the lines and the vendors await the eager customers to purchase their goods. Taste the delectable treats found in the market, which includes the rice and meat in the steamed banana leaves, roasted duck’s beak and much more! Gain some insight on the customs, history and culture of the inhabitants of the beautiful island during your well-paced bicycle ride.
