Day 1 - Mountain Biking / Trekking / Homestay
Commence your journey at the city centre of Luang Prabang before leaving behind the bustling city to the countryside Laos aboard the quality mountain bicycles. Travel along the beaten paths that will take you to the Wat Pa Phon Phao Temple that exudes glory from its marvelous architecture, with the towering golden stupa. The Wat Pa Phon Phao temple is also known as a site for forest meditation amongst the Buddhist. Discover the male monks donning the yellow robes, as you explore the Wat Pa Phon Phao temple. Venture to the secluded Ban Phanom village that along the trails from the temple. The small village is known for producing stunning textiles made out of cotton and silk, with its knowledge of weaving that has been passed down for generations. The stunning textiles caught the eye of the King, who was said to have purchased an abundance of the textiles. Cross through a jungle to the tomb of Henry Mahout, who was a French explorer that brought the light of the Angkor Wat to the western world.
Continue your journey along the Nam Khan river, where you will have a chance to swim in the cool waters of the tributary river. The trails will take you pass hardworking farmers working on their lands, dense teakwood forest and also the pleasant sights of the mountain outlines. Be warmly greeted by the curious smiles of the friendly villagers as you head through the village. Your bicycle ride ends at the riverside village, that is nestled at the bottom of the mountain. You will be provided with a delicious lunch, to delight yourself in before starting your trek. After lunch, you will head to an isolated camp that is situated along the riverside, with a spectacular view of the rising limestone crags that is around 600 meters high. Cross the river to the starting point of your trekking trip through luscious jungles and within the depths of the mountain to the Khmu village. After an exhausting journey, you will rest at the homestay after consuming some delicious dinner, served Lao-style.
Day 2 - Trekking / Tad Sae Waterfall / Elephant Riding
Travel along the trails from the stunning home stay, to the spectacular Tad Sae waterfall. Explore the stunning Tad Sae waterfall that is best visited during the wet season. The waterfall may not be as high as the Kuang Si waterfall but it offers more streams of waters through the limestone rocks to the bottom pool. Take a refreshing dip into the cold pool that will surely soothe your tired body, after a tiring trek. Hop atop the docile elephants and explore the stunning jungles from the point of view of an elephant. Those with brave hearts are welcomed to try on a 1-kilometre zip-line ride through the jungle canopy that is over the waterfall. After an exhausting trip, you will depart from the stunning waterfall with unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
