Tour Description:

Day 1 - Jungle Trekking/Hmong Village of Long Lao Mai

Your adventurous journey will start off with a 3 to 4-hour trek in the mountains of northern Laos. Beginning from the trekking point in Ban Nong Haeo, you will traverse through dense bamboo forests and hike uphill through the lush green jungle. Upon reaching the summit, you will be treated by absolutely breathtaking panoramic views of Laos’ landscape. You will stop for a picnic lunch along the way.

Once you have successfully arrived at the Long Lao Mai village. Your guide will show you to your accommodation of the night which is the Eco Bungalow. After settling down, you will be given a tour around the Hmong village. You can introduce yourself to the locals as they are very friendly and warm people. Do not feel shy about interacting with them. You can learn some words of the Hmong language from them or even play a game of football with the village children. Later on, you can take a shower and have a rest at your bungalow before having dinner. Your dinner will be prepared by the villagers and you could stretch out on the sala outside and enjoy your dinner under the stars.

Day 2 - Jungle Trekking/ Kuang Si Waterfall/ Bear Rescue Centre

Next morning, you will wake up to the wonderful and peaceful ambience of the remote village. After having a hearty breakfast, prepare yourself as you will go on another scenic trek through the wilderness of Laos. The trek will take approximately 3 hours with the famous Kuang Si waterfall as our destination. It is a hidden jewel amidst of Laos’ vast tropical jungle.

The waterfall is also the largest in its district. It is famous for its picturesque view where the bottom of the waterfall you can see turquoise blue water filling up swimming holes as it cascades before going downstream. Near the Kuang Si waterfall, there is also the Bear Rescue Centre which is managed by the Free the Bears Fund, a non-profit organization. The rescue centre is protecting moon bears from being hunted by illegal poachers around the area. Before being transferred back to Luang Prabang, you will have your lunch next to the Kuang Si waterfall.

7 - 14 days prior to the tour date, 50% of total package payment incurred.

1 - 6 days prior to the tour date, 100% of total package payment incurred.

• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during the stipulated time
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own
