Tour Description:

Conquer the mighty Mekong river, the 12th longest river in the world that crosses more than three countries, which includes China, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. The total length of the river is estimated to be more than 4000 kilometres. The Mekong river is the main source of income and food for the people living a stone’s throw away from the river. The flow of the Mekong river varies depending on the season, which will result in the variation in the water level of the river. The adventure begins as you meet up with the friendly guide that will take you to end of Luang Prabang at the southern part of the city. Before starting your thrilling kayaking expedition, you will first be given a safety briefing that should be upheld during the kayaking expedition.

Travel along the Mekong river at a site that is rarely visited by tourists. Ride through the river where you will be surrounded by the immense beauty of Mother Nature’s creation, which includes verdant trees that flourish within the lands. Witness the towering mountains that rise above the river while being coated with healthy trees. After a tiring kayaking trip, you will then make a stop along the bank of the Mekong river to indulge and savour in some delectable Lao lunch. As your journey continues, you will catch the sight of the local people living in the vicinity of the Mekong river engaging in their daily tasks. Your kayaking trip will approach an end once you arrive at the riverside village.

On your way back to the ancient city of Luang Prabang, you will head to the Hmong museum where you will have a chance to discover the rich culture of one of the biggest ethnic group in Laos, which is the Hmong people. Discover a wide variety of exhibits that illustrate the Hmong culture and it includes the textiles, jewellery, household items and many more! After an exhausting adventure, you will depart from the museum to Luang Prabang with remarkable memory!

7 - 14 days prior to the tour date, 50% of total package payment incurred.

1 - 6 days prior to the tour date, 100% of total package payment incurred.

• The total distance of the kayaking trip is 18 kilometres and it requires at least 3 hours to complete
• Tour is only available during high water season(August to January) and will not available during the dry season (February to August).
• Transfer duration above are estimated and subject to traffic and weather condition, and not inclusive of any sightseeing tours
• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during the stipulated time
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own.
• This tour is not available during the high water season (August to January) as currents can be too strong and conditions unpredictable
