Take the roads of Luang Prabang on a bicycle where you will be able to explore the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall and the local villages!
Travel along the roads on a quality mountain bike that you will obtain from a bike shop at the ancient city of Luang Prabang. Soar through the well-paved roads where you will feel the wind lightly touching your skin when you traverse through the scenic landscapes that are along the Mekong river, which is the 12th longest river in the world. Hear the sounds of the rushing waters as you approach the Kuang Si waterfall that is located at the southern part of Luang Prabang and the three-levelled waterfall which rises to about 60 meters. The Kuang Si waterfall stretches to a wide area with the verdant jungles of Luang Prabang that surrounds the waterfall.
Dive into the crystal clear blue waters of the pool that sits below the waterfall that will make you feel refreshed after a swim along the waters. The waterfall can be reached by strolling along a well-paved trail that is totally surrounded by beautiful nature. After a long and exhausting trip, you will be provided with a delectable lunch that is rich in the flavours of Laos. Consume your delicious lunch in the serene ambience of the Kuang Si waterfall. Catch the sight of the beautiful Asiatic bears that reside in the Bear Rescue Center that act as a sanctuary for the black bears where they are able to live a more fulfilling life. After spending some time at the Kuang Si Waterfall, ride along a fun hill ride down towards the Mekong river where you will aboard the traditional longtail boat where you will bask in the beauty of the scenic landscape that surrounds the Mekong River back to Luang Prabang.
Along the bicycle ride, you will also have the opportunity to visit the local villages, where you will have a chance to plunge into the culture and customs of the local people that reside in the villages. Visit the Hmong Culture Museum where you will gain a fascinating insight into the Hmong culture by engaging with the exhibits in the museum that illustrates the rich Laos ethnic culture. The entire bicycle ride will take an approximate 3 to 4 hours to complete and the trail can be ranked as medium difficulty where you would occasionally encounter some hills.
