Embark on a spiritual journey as you explore the one of the many beautiful temples in Bali. Start your adventure by visiting Pura Taman Ayun, a huge royal water temple that was the main temple of the Mengwi Kingdom. Stroll around this breath taking temple that is surrounded by a moat making it look as if the temple is floating on water. Built in 1634 by the Raja of Mengwi, Taman Ayun (roughly translates to Beautiful Temple) is a special temple where deified ancestors of the royal dynasty of Mengwi are honoured. The temple is surrounded by gorgeous, lush foliage and trees that lives up to its name as a beautiful garden.

Delve deeper into the religious culture of Bali as you move on to your next destination, Pura Ulun Danu. This beautiful temple is located in the mountains near Bedugul giving you a magnificent backdrop for all your photos. Learn more about the religious practices of the Balinese people at this temple. Its mainly used for an offering ceremony to the water goddess Dewi Danu as the lake that surrounds the temple, Lake Bratan, is a main source of irrigation for central Bali. You’ll truly feel the peaceful serene aura that encompasses this land as the cool weather breezes through.

Drive to the popular Ubud Monkey forest to explore the nature reserve and its many Hindu temples that reside there. The local residents of Padengtegal village views Monkey forest as a crucial spiritual, educational and conservation center for the village. You’ll truly learn more about Bali’s religious beliefs and practices at the many temples at this reserve. Stroll around this 27-acre compound and take in its lush greenery. Make your way to your last destination of the day, Tanah Lot. This popular tourist site which can be translated to ancient land is home to an ancient hindu pilgrimage temple, Pura Tanah Lot. This temple is situated on a large rock formation near the shore and serves as an iconic site for photography and viewing the sunset.
