Explore the hidden wonders and scenic views of the Sibetan Village hills on a jeep ride to the top and on a relaxing walk around the valley of Sibetan Village.
The beautiful region of Sibetan is a mountainous countryside of Bali blessed with both breathtaking scenery and unparalleled historical importance. It used to be the capital of Bali under the kingdom of I Gusti Ngurah Mantu and is the home capital of Bali’s largest producer of Salak Bali. The fresh air coupled with the friendly locals will give a whole different perspective as compared to the crowded Denpasar and the touristy region of Ubud. In order to enjoy the full beauty of the region, you will have the chance to explore the hills and walk around the village vicinity of Sibetan. So ready yourself for a whole day’s worth of fun, memory and exploration.
Once you arrive at the starting point beneath the hill, your jeep will be all ready to go. Your first destination for the day is the Salak plantation. Sibetan is known as Bali’s biggest producer of local Salak Bali, so you will be happy to know that you will get the chance to enjoy the many bountiful harvests found in the area. You can also simultaneously strike a conversation and learn more about the wine refinery and field cultivation process of the local experts as well. And of course, you will get to try out the Salak Bali on the house to give you that extra kick of the local delicacy. Once you are satisfied you will continue to get a coffee/tea at a local house. This brief respite will also be accompanied by local snacks for you to try. With your tummy no longer grumbling, you will continue your way up to the hilltop and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Balinese eastern shore horizon and the mountain silhouette before your very eyes. Finally, when the clock strikes 1:30 P.M., you will head to your lunch destination and make your way down back to the starting point.
The adventure then continues on foot. Your first destination is the verdant rice field. Feel the rush of the wind and the rustle of the ripe crops around the field as you talk and get to know more about agricultural practices from local farmers. Then, you will continue east toward the Salak plantation where you may come across some familiar faces along the way as well. The walk then continues until you reach a local hut and take a quick break with some fresh coconut water to quench your afternoon thirst. Finally, you will make your way back to the starting point where your return transfer will be ready to bring you back to your hotel.
