Get a scenic view of Singapore city as you ride a cable car to watch a 4D screening of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island then visit the colourful Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom
Leisurely glide down an incline that enables you to admire the city from above in a cable car and be treated to a view of Singapore’s neat urban planning and bountiful greenery. At Sentosa Island there is a 37-meter high sculpture of the Merlion, Singapore’s representative icon. The Merlion is half-fish and half-lion, symbolizing Singapore’s roots and name. Singapore started out as a port with fishing villages in the past called Temasek, and the half-fish part of the Merlion represents that, while the half-lion represents Singapore’s name from the word Singapura (Lion City in Sanskrit).
Join The Rock and the rest of the Journey 2: The Mysterious Island crew on their adventures as you participate via a 20-minute 4D screening of the movie which will have you pumped full of adrenaline by the end of it. Immerse yourself in the movie where the butterflies that flutter by you and the elephants that trod past you seem so close and real enough to touch! The screening is extremely interactive with anything happening on the screen recreated for you to feel such as water splashing on you and wind blowing in your face.
After the thrilling show, head towards the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom where you will be greeted by a flurry of rainbows fluttering through the air. These insects are housed in a mimic tropical rainforest, recreated in the most authentic way possible with all the sights and sounds similar to what you would get out in the true wilderness. Get to observe and learn about different species of butterflies and beetles in the specimen cases that display them for your convenience. If you walk slowly and leisurely through the exhibit, some butterflies may even come up to you and rest upon your head, shoulder or held-out hand.
