    Tour Description:

The largest state in Peninsula Malaysia is Pahang and its capital is Kuantan. Do not be fooled by this town’s relaxed and easygoing lifestyle though, as Kuantan offers ample attraction such as traditional and cultural activities waiting to be discovered by visitors.  Take the opportunity to get to know Cherating Village’s laidback lifestyle as the local seasiders occupy their time with handmade craftwork. Then, visit the Pandanus Weaving Centre to take a closer look at the local grass handiwork, skillfully woven into wearables such as hats, handbags and table mats.

Afterwards, make your way to the Batik Workshop to watch a demonstration of how batik is hand-painted. Be sure to allocate some money for souvenir-shopping! Then, head over to Beserah Fishing Village and discover how salted fish, a local delicacy, is processed. You can also witness the fresh catches sold at the jetty. If you are lucky enough, you may even see how local village men use water buffaloes to transport their catch of the day to the processing area.

Next, you will be driven to the Black Rock Beach, located just a short drive away. While there are no volcanoes in Malaysia, this beach is of a volcanic lava origin, which is why you will see black rocks amidst the sand. From there onwards, you will be whisked to a photo shop at the fish jetty in Tanjung Api. This is also where you will be able to take snaps of a local fishing village’s everyday living.

Our next Kuantan attraction involves driving down the scenic route along the residential suburbs. Take this opportunity to view the Regent and Chief Minister’s residence as you make your way towards Teluk Chempedak, another Kuantan’s point of interest. Plenty of craftwork and local delicacies can be found at the local stalls here. The tour concludes with time for you to feast your appetite with some fast food, some shopping and unwinding with a walk along the beach.
