Tour Description:

The Chiang Mai city is a very popular tourist centre famed for its ancient history and colourful culture. Not only that, Chiang Mai has a picturesque natural environment definitely worth seeing which is what our bike tour will be bringing you to. We will ride along the outskirts of Chiang Mai city and enjoy its view of the tour and stop by a few places

Before our bike tour begins, we will gather at the meeting point near Chiang Mai Gate for a short briefing and bike fitting. Then we will slowly cycle west through the city of Chiang Mai and pass by the Chiang Mai University Campus towards Doi Suthep. After cycling for awhile on roads in cities, we will be biking along wooded lanes at the foot of Doi Suthep. While cycling near the foot, the presence of vehicles is much lesser where we can listen to the nature singing to our ears.

After cycling for quite a distance, we will then enter a bicycle park with tree covered paths. This is where we begin the gradual climb up to the Tueng Tao Creek Reservoir. Upon reaching the lake, you will get an astonishing view of the huge lake and bamboo huts lined along the lakeside. Other than that, the view of the tall mountains ranging from one end of the forest to another is certainly a sight to behold. The bamboo huts are for visitors to relax while overlooking mountains of Doi Pui as it offers a beautiful and peaceful setting away from the cities. There are many restaurants or vendors set up here. The dining environment here is absolutely marvellous as it is accompanied by an amazing view of nature giving a picnic kind of feel for those who dine at the lake. We will, of course, be stopping here for our lunch too. If you want to swim in the lake, you can bring your swimsuit and jump in the lake too.

After spending some time here, we will then be heading our way back to the city of Chiang Mai. We will bike down the mountain and continue cycling east to the banks of the Ping River, cycling through rice fields and vegetable gardens in a peaceful setting. We will arrive back to our meeting point after the long ride and before we say goodbye, you will be treated with a cold drink.

• This riding distance of this tour is approximately 39 kilometres
• Don't forget to bring a bathing suit if you wish to swim at Tueng Tao Creek as well
• You still need to turn up for the tour if it is raining. It is quite common that it can be raining in one part of the city and not raining in another. So if it's raining at your hotel don't assume it is raining where you will be cycling. Also it is common that the rain falls heavily and for short durations so if it does rain we just wait and continue the tour once the rain stops. We also have plastic rain ponchos for everyone in the case that you do need to ride in the rain. If heavy rains continues until 12.00 pm or if there is torrential flooding, you can choose to cancel with full refund or change your tour to another day
