Tour Description:

Calling all nature enthusiasts, prepare to embark on a thrilling excursion through one of Malaysia’s most unique natural attractions; the Kilim Mangrove Geopark. Situated on the North Eastern side of Langkawi, the park is a popular ecotourism site which stretches out for 100 square kilometres and features amazing rock formations, caves, beaches as well as an impressive mangrove forest. Look forward to a thrilling ride aboard kayaks which are used to navigate the terrain of the Geopark.

Prepare to sweat and work those muscles as the trip would require a reasonable fitness level to complete. Similar to adventure movies, you will be getting a close-up experience of the stunning ecology of the mangroves that have formed over the course of decades by sailing through a smaller channel, away from the main river that flows through the area. Feast your eyes on interesting limestone rock formations and admire the different shapes and patterns that have formed due to erosion.

To add some excitement to your ride, keep an eye out for creatures that are commonly sighted in the area such as mudskippers, crabs, dragonflies and monitor lizards. Occasionally, you might get a surprise encounter with larger creatures such as otters, snakes and Long-tailed macaques. The majestic eagle is also an inhabitant of the island and you might be awestruck upon witnessing the iconic beast take flight around the island, occasionally diving towards the surface of the water to catch a meal.
