Jet ski your way to Intan Island, Dayang Bunting Island, Singa Besar Island and Beras Basah Island where exciting adventures such as swimming, eagle-watching and snorkelling await you!
Jet ski with a partner to four different islands in the archipelago off Pulau Langkawi’s coast and have fun with different activities at each one! Your tour guide will take you to visit Intan Island (Diamond Island), Dayang Bunting Island (Pregnant Maiden Island), Singa Besar Island (Big Lion Island), and Beras Basah Island (Wet Rice Island). Turn on the engine of your jet ski, tell your partner to hold on tight, and speed off into the Andaman sea to start your adventure!
Intan Island is the first stop on your itinerary, where you will find immaculate sandy shores and crystal-clear waters that invite you in for a swim. The central part of the island is covered in massive, ancient trees, and the shore of the beaches are lined with swaying coconut palms. The island remains undisturbed, as barely any development plans have been put into action thus far, therefore making it a nice, nature-filled getaway spot.
When you’re ready to move on, head towards Dayang Bunting Island on your jet ski. This island is where you’ll find the largest freshwater lake in Malaysia, as its waters are separated from those of the salty sea by a thin ridge of limestone, making it ideal for some leisurely swimming. This huge lake is also known as Lake Guillermard, and it is believed that its waters have the mysterious power of bestowing upon a barren woman the gift of fertility, if she takes a dip in the lake. Locals will tell you to find the image of a pregnant woman lying on her back in the outline of the lush hills and rocky outcrops that make up the backdrop of the island. The name of the island comes from a legend whereby a princess named Mambang Sari fell pregnant with the child of Mat Teja, a man who married her after falling in love with her by the lake. Their son died not long after being born, and the couple, after overcoming their sorrow, laid his body to rest by the waters of the lake.
Go sightseeing on its land which is famous for its thriving flora and fauna such as mangrove forests, lush rainforests, and its 90 species of birds such as the hornbill and kingfisher. You can also do some sightseeing on the island on your jet ski. Ride through an inlet between “The Fjords”, where high cliffs topped with green frame either side of you. It’s an experience you definitely shouldn’t miss! Continue riding your jet ski towards Singa Besar Island, which is the third stop on your to-do-list for this tour.
At Singa Besar Island, you may have the opportunity to watch an eagle-feeding session, where feeders will throw out the chicken meat into the water. Eagles such as the white-bellied fish eagle and kite eagle will drop from the sky, swooping in towards the water to eat up the meat. This island is a massive wildlife sanctuary, so other animals you’ll be able to spot here are macaques, mousedeer, hornbills and peacocks. It also boasts thick, beautiful greenery.
Beras Basah Island is the final destination on your itinerary, and the activity to be done here is snorkelling. Translucent blue waters just call out your name, so put on your snorkelling gear and take a peek into the mysterious underwater world around the island. Dip your head under the surface of the water and play with the curious fish that swim around that swarm around you, or if you no longer feel like being in the water, lounge by the beach and take in the beautiful scenery.
