Tour Description:

On this jet ski adventure, your tour guide will have you visit eight islands, with stops made at three stand-out ones: Singa Besar Island (Big Lion Island), Dayang Bunting Island (Pregnant Maiden Island) and Beras Basah Island (Wet Rice Island). Jet off from the shores of Pulau Langkawi and ride through the waves towards Singa Besar Island for some eagle-watching.

On this island, there are eagle-watching sessions held at certain times of the day, and during those sessions, the air will fill with flocks of white-bellied fish eagles and kite eagles swooping in from the sky to eat up the chicken meat thrown out into the water by feeders. On this island is a huge wildlife sanctuary where monkeys, mousedeer, eagles and peacocks reside in. There are also beautiful beaches on the edges of the island, boasting clear, sparkling waters, white sandy shores and lush greenery.

Your next stop is at Dayang Bunting Island, where a large freshwater lake known as Lake Guillermard is located. From an angle, the hills that make up the backdrop of the island appear to create an image of a pregnant woman. There is a legend behind the naming of this island, and it tells the story of princess Mambang Sari whom a man named Mat Teja fell in love with by the lake. After they married and had a son, however, their son did not live for long. They laid his body on the lake to float away. Somehow, these events have led people to believe that, should a woman take a dip in the waters of the lake, she would become fertile and be blessed with a child.

Take a swim in the freshwater lake if you’d like, as it is sure to be a refreshing experience and will provide a satisfying reprieve from the heat of the sun. Besides the fresh water lake, there is a forest of mangrove trees lining the perimeter, and there is a limestone cave, Gua Langsir (Cave of the Banshee), and wildlife located on its land as well. Birds such as hornbills and kingfishers are among those that can be found on the island, while monkeys and monitor lizards are also aplenty.

When you’ve explored all that you can on Dayang Bunting Island, make your way over to Beras Basah Island on your jet ski with your guide for another swim and some sightseeing of what the island has to offer to you. At Beras Basah Island, you will find beautiful palm trees framing the pristine sandy beaches. Immerse yourself in the cool waters a distance away from the shores and take the time to relax as you float on your back and watch the sky.
