Tour Description:

The historic Bukit Chandan is named after an elephant that belonged to the 27th Sultan of Perak, Sultan Yusuf Sharifuddin Mudzaffar Shah, who ruled the State of Perak for only ten months. This beautiful area, filled with low-hanging branches and heritage homes, is most famous among tourists because of its rich history and its pleasing surroundings. It is truly a peaceful haven, away from the bustling city life that we are all used to. Which makes it the perfect location for abseiling; the natural topography makes it challenging, but the calm and view of the place make it all worth it. Did you know, in some parts of the world, abseiling is used as a mode of transport? For example, in Waitomo, New Zealand, it is necessary to drop 100 metres down a huge hole to reach the Lost World.

Abseiling, or rappelling is an adventure activity suitable for ALL skill levels, especially with the right guide. The tour begins at Bukit Chandan Meeting Point where you will meet with the guide. The skilled guides and instructors know all about easing people out of their comfort one, so by the end of this tour, you will get an amazing sense of accomplishment. Make sure to stretch your limbs out, as you will be going on a demanding hike through the forests of Bukit Chandan. Once you have reached the top, remember to take a moment to catch your breath and take in the natural beauty this place has to offer. Next, brace yourself for the thrill of abseiling down the big slope, but watch out for the sometimes muddy and slippery ground. Ride the Adrenaline rush, all the way down the slope. Hopefully, your legs aren’t too shaky when you reach the bottom, and you can marvel and what you have just accomplished.

Additional Information:

• Please wear proper and comfortable activewear; hiking/trekking shoes, long/short sleeve shirt, long pants, socks, cap.
• Please bring a personal supply of drinking water (1.5 L), small towels, sun lotion, insect repellent, a personal raincoat and a walking stick if necessary
