Your adventure begins as the Sun rises where you will have a chance to explore the beautiful city of Vientiane by first making your way to the religious museum called the Wat Sisaket. The glorious Wat Sisaket is one of the oldest temples in Laos that dates back to centuries where it has even survived the Siamese war in 1828 and the temple is the home of more than 8000 Buddha statues that are scattered all around the temple that dates back to the 16th and 19th centuries.
The Wat Phra Kaew that was built in 1565 as a personal place of worship for the royal family and it was the home of the Emerald Buddha after it was taken from northern Siam (Thailand). The spectacular temple that exudes glory in every corner is filled with a collection of Buddha statues, artefacts and antiques that are littered all around the temple. Embark to the That Luang Stupa that brings great importance to Laos and the monument was initially constructed to cover the original small stupa which was said to hold a piece of Buddha’s chest bone. The That Luang Stupa plays an important role in the Buddhist religion as it is the gathering place for a Buddhist national ceremony. Traverse to the biggest stupa in Laos called Patuxai which was built to illustrate the independence that was gained from France by the Laos who fought against them.
Indulge yourself in the delicious Laos cuisine at the local restaurant, which will surely fill your taste buds with an abundance of flavours and leave your tummy filling full. The next stop on the trip is to the Carol Cassidy, which is a gallery where you will gain an insight to the intricate art of weaving Laotian textiles and also the natural dye making the process from scratch to the finished product. Step foot into the last stop of the tour, the famous Buddha Park that is filled with well over 200 statues of Buddha and Hindu in various modern shapes. The most popular statue at the park is the huge Reclining Buddha statue that is being worshipped by the Buddhist. The Buddha Park is a must-see in Vientiane, as it is famous with tourist and worshippers from around the world. Established in the year of 1958, the Buddha Park offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere as you casually stroll through the sculptures that carry different representations of life, hell and heaven.
