Tour Description:

If you’re someone who’s looking for a splashing good time, whitewater rafting on Sungai Selangor is definitely one of the top activities that can fulfil your wishes! Sungai Selangor boasts grade 4 rapids which are more challenging than the rapids of Slim River or Sungai Kampar. On this adventure, you will navigate through 7 kilometres of rapids surrounded by the thick greenery that grows by the river bank. Meet up with the group at Kuala Kubu Bharu by 9:00 am to begin your adventure.

Before you get into the water, you will be briefed on the safety precautions you should take to prevent any mishaps from happening, as well as so that you will be informed of what to do in an emergency. You will also be provided with whitewater rafting equipment like paddles, helmets and life vests to ensure that you will have the safest time possible on your adventure. Self-bailing rafts are also provided for extra assurance, so calm your nerves and trust your experienced guides! On-river snacks will be given to you to help boost your energy, as you will definitely be using up all that energy on the rapids.

If there are areas in the river where your guides say it is safe to body surf, definitely do not pass up on the chance to do so! Body surfing is usually done in calmer waters, where one floats on the moving currents with their feet anchored to the river bed to prevent themselves from being washed away. The firm waves of rapids have been said to mimic massages that are even better than those provided by whirlpool baths! If you’re adventurous enough you absolutely must try experiencing the unique sensations of a massage provided by nature.

Even if you decide not to body surf, there are other things you can do on the gentle rapids. Without having to pay strict attention to your rowing like you would need to on rough rapids, you can take the time to appreciate your surroundings of tranquil river forests. Feel your body sway along to the currents of the water and the cool breeze that blows down the length of the river, rustling the leaves of trees in its wake. Whitewater rafting is definitely an experience that you will want to tell all your friends and family about!
