Tour Description:

Get your blood pumping by going on a whitewater rafting adventure that will take you down the 7-kilometres river where you will face challenging rapids and get a feel for Malaysia’s tropical jungles. This whitewater rafting activity is available all year round and is suitable for seasoned rafters and first-timers alike, so come join in on the fun! At Kampung Ulu Slim, a 4WD will take you on a 40-minute off-road journey to the Put-In Point at Kuala Tibang. Rumble through the improvised paths of the village on your very own Indiana Jones-styled adventure!

Once you arrive at your destination, you will be equipped with your rafting gear, be given a detailed briefing on the safety procedures of whitewater rafting and divided into groups of 6 per raft. Once all preparations have been set, off you go on your adventure! Whitewater rafting requires great cooperation with your raft members, so make some new friends, get out there onto the waters and strengthen those bonds. Trying your best to steer your raft onto the right path in the river and crashing through waves will definitely give you torso and arm muscles a good workout. Meanwhile, the splashing and spraying of the cool water will help soothe the good burn in your muscles.

On safer parts of the rapids, you can body surf. Body surfing is when you lay down in the moving waters of gentler rapids, and you will have to relax and balance the weight of your body on the moving water. The force of the moving water will mimic a massage that has been said to rival that of whirlpool baths or shower massages! The sensations are like none that you have experienced before, so you should definitely give body surfing a try if you have been told that you can do so.

Have a good look at your surroundings when on a more peaceful stretch of river. The lush greenery that goes on for miles along the river bank frames it perfectly, and provide a sense of serenity. Inhale the scent of fresh air to energize and revitalize yourself as you keep rowing in harmony. The combination of the adrenaline rushing through your body and the atmosphere of your surroundings will definitely make this whitewater rafting experience one you will remember. You will raft all the way to the “take-out” point at Kampung Pos Berseh. Dry yourself off and get ready to get back onto the 4WD for a quick 10-minute journey back to Kampung Ulu Slim. You can shower and change once you arrive.

• Who can raft: 12-60 years of age in good physical health & can walk unassisted
• We welcome non-swimmers and first-timers
• Bring along a change of clothes, towel, soap, shampoo & plastic bag for your wet clothes
• All rafters must wear river sandals, shoes or booties – strictly no slippers or barefeet
• Spectacles must be secured
• No denim or jeans on the river
• Remove all pieces of jewellery and expensive watches
• We recommend you bring waterproof or underwater cameras if you want to take photos
