Tour Description:

Gopeng is one of Malaysia’s most popular destinations for exhilarating outdoor excursions. The once thriving tin mine empire, Gopeng is located approximately 20 km from Ipoh and is surrounded by clear river streams, mesmerizing waterfalls, the extensive greenery of the lush rainforest and spectacular limestone caves. Whitewater rafting is the most common water activity in Gopeng but for more advanced or experienced adventurers, whitewater kayaking is a whole new thrilling experience! Whitewater kayaking allows you to get in touch with nature and requires you to paddle a kayak on the whitewater rapids and can be challenging and extreme, which is why it is more suitable for those with more experience.

Upon arrival at the Kampar River, the professional river guide will assist you in wearing the safety equipment provided before a safety briefing is conducted. The briefing will include paddling skills, paddling commands, actions when overboard or river rescue when necessary. Once you have authorized the liability release forms, get ready for some exciting fun in the sun as you will make your way to the top of the river to prepare for your thrilling adventure! Feel the rush of adrenaline as you tackle the surging rapids and float down the clear water river as you pass the exotic rainforest in your surroundings. Master your attempts at negotiating the river channels and rapids as you make your way along the river. Feel the splash of the cool river water and the splashing sounds of the glorious rapids as you challenge the raw power of nature!

When your exciting kayaking adventure has come to the end of the Kampar River, you are provided with shower and changing facilities to freshen up. Following that, a delicious feast of BBQ buffet awaits your rumbling stomachs! Once you have satisfied your hunger, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Additional Information:

• Transfer duration above are estimated and subject to traffic and weather condition, and not inclusive of any sightseeings

• Bath towel and toiletries are available at the ending point
• Guests need to bring their own PFD and Paddle
• Guests will be tested for basic roll and paddling skills before going down the river. If guests does not meet the basic requirement, we will do the kayaking on the lower part of the river or change the tour to white water rafting
• Please wear proper activewear; dark coloured and breathable T-shirt, comfortable bottoms and suitable footwear
• Please bring a personal supply of drinking water (1 L), small towels, sun lotion, insect repellent, a spare change of clothing
• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during stipulated time
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own
