Get to see amazing sights of exotic wildlife at Rinca Island, smooth sandy beaches at Pink Beach and go snorkel with Manta rays at Manta Point.
Day 1 – Denpasar/ Labuan Bajo/ Bidari or Sature Island
Start your Flores adventure when you arrive at the Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo where you’ll be greeted by a representative who will bring you to your hotel. After checking in to your hotel, you’ll take a short break for lunch before boarding a boat to Bidari Island. Enjoy a cooling 30-minute boat ride to the island before arriving at the beautiful sandy beaches. Snorkel in the crystalline waters of the island and go exploring for some vibrant marine life or you can just relax on the smooth sand, and enjoy the summer sun. After a day of fun in the sun and relaxation, you’ll be brought back to your hotel to be left to your own devices and a good night’s rest.
Day 2 – Labuan Bajo/ Rinca Island/ Komodo Island
Get up in the morning for a filling breakfast at the hotel before heading out to Rinca Island. The boat ride should take around 2 and a half hours from Labuan Bajo. Once you arrive at the island you’ll trek through the islands lush jungle where you can observe the island’s diverse flora and fauna. You’ll get to see so much amazing wildlife such as deer, wild pigs and even tropical birds like cockatoos. Then get back onto the boat and sail off towards Kalong Island for an amazing sight. Marvel as hundreds of flying foxes, a type of large bat, emerge from the mangrove trees as dusk descends upon you. Once the sun sets you’ll be served dinner and retire for the night on the boat in an air-conditioned cabin.
Day 3 – Komodo/ Pink Beach/ Manta Point/ Labuan Bajo
Your day starts with a trekking trip to Komodo Islands and look out for the infamous Komodo dragons. You’ll be brought through the jungles with the help of your guide and get a chance to see the amazing Komodo dragons. These animals are the largest species of lizards in the world but be cautious when around them as they are still dangerous predators. After exploring the island you’ll get back on the boat and sail to Pink Beach.
Visit the beautiful Pink beach, one of the major attractions at Komodo Island, which is famous for its soft baby pink sandy beaches. The cotton candy sand is due to microscopic animals that produce red pigments on coral reefs, then fragments of the coral wash up to the shore and mix with the white sand thus creating the pink colour. The beach is one of only seven pink beaches in the world, so this is definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience this breathtaking beach. You’ll get to dive into the water for a swim or snorkel in the clear waters to explore the coral reefs.
Your next destination is Manta Point to see the gentle manta rays while either snorkelling or watch them from the boat itself. After a long day of fun activities, you’ll be rewarded with a delicious lunch on the boat and in the late afternoon, you’ll sail back to Labuan Bajo. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel where you’ll enjoy a nice dinner and retire for the night at your hotel.
Day 4 – Labuan Bajo/ Denpasar
Have a nice breakfast then go on a short sightseeing tour with your first stop being Batu Cermin (Mirror Stone) Cave. This limestone cave has an amazing view when the sun’s rays stream in through a big opening and get reflected off the smooth rock surfaces on the cave’s insides. You’ll also get beautiful sights of tall stalactites and stalagmites. Your next stop is the local market where you’ll get to browse through local goods and maybe even get a little souvenir. Then its time to say goodbye to Indonesia as you go to the airport at Denpasar.
