Tour Description:

Unofficially known as the “backyard” of Kuala Lumpur, the Ulu Langat region is within easy reach of the bustling metropolis, however, there are also several recreational forests (Hutan Lipur) and some attractive waterfalls in this area. One of these recreational forests is Hutan Lipur Perdik. Your guide will meet you at the Green Villa Resort. On your way here, you may notice some interesting uninhabited houses that used to belong to native tribes. They are built in the traditional method, without the use of nails. There are also small bamboo forests surrounding the place. This tour consists of three main activities; abseiling, hiking, and waterfall adventure.

Hiking the trek at Ulu Perdik is suitable for people of all fitness levels, including children so this would make for a great family trip. There are a few ankle deep streams you will come across, so be sure to wear socks and repellent because there’s a sure chance that there will be leeches. To be safe, perhaps carry a small vial of salt as well. The magnificent Perdik Falls, you will find, is bigger than it seems. Dip your toes into the cool water to reward yourself but take time and care exploring the waterfall, especially when there’s a strong current.

Abseiling, or rappelling is an adventure activity suitable for people of all skill levels. So whether you are a regular thrill seeker, or even if you have never done abseiling before, this tour is perfect for you. Abseiling gets its name from the German word abseilen which roughly translates to “to rope down”, which coincidentally is exactly what you’ll be doing. So just limber up, and follow your guide’s instructions, with a little effort and concentration on your part, you’ll be abseiling down Perdik in no time! During this time, remember to take in all the beauty and nature Hutan Lipur Perdik has to offer. Pro tip: Remember to bring a camera so you can relive these moments later!
