Appreciate the bounty of nature as you explore the beautiful Gaya Island and breathtaking Sapi Island off the coast of Sabah.
What makes Tunku Abdul Rahman Park irresistible is the cluster of beautiful islands off the coast of Sabah. Encompassing pristine beaches, enchanting islands with verdant forests; the park attracts visitors with its cerulean waters that are teeming with marine life. Start your tour by travelling on your coach to the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal. First up is the Gaya Island which is only a 15-minute ferry ride away. The largest of the five islands, it is home to lush forests. Upon reaching the shore, trek for 1.5 hours through mangrove wetland, dipterocarp forests and vegetation accompanied by an experienced tour guide.
After exploring and discovering the flora and fauna on Gaya Island, it is time to transfer to the neighbouring Sapi Island, the smallest of the five islands. Well-known for the abundance of vividly coloured marine life, this is the ideal spot for you to swim nonchalantly among brilliant shoals of fishes. You can also opt to laze and bask in the sun on the sandy beach. There are also numerous trails available should you wish to explore the island. Top it off with a luscious BBQ lunch on the beach to fill your growling stomach.
Once lunch is out of the way, spend some time strolling the sandy beach before departure. You may want to try out water sports such as Parasailing, Sea Walking or Paddleboarding. Get your dose of adrenaline right on the island itself to create more memorable moments with your loved ones. At approximately 3 pm, we will board the return boat from the island jetty to the mainland of Kota Kinabalu. Subsequently, get on your coach to return to your hotel to wrap it up.
