Day 1 – Denpasar / Ende / Moni
Arrive at Ende and meet with your tour guide then proceed to Moni by car. En route, make a stop at Detusoko area to get an amazing view of wide expanses of the terrace rice fields where it's setting on the slope. Once you arrive at Moni, you’ll check into your hotel and rest before a busy day the next day.
Day 2 – Moni / Kelimutu / Bajawa
Start your day bright and early in the morning to travel to Kelimutu for a beautiful sunrise view. The Kelimutu volcano is famous for its magnificent three coloured crater lakes. These popular tourist destinations are created when different salts and oxides in suspension giving the lakes its colourful hue ranging from blue to an intense red. Then you’ll also get to visit the Saga or Wologai village. You’ll get to observe their daily lives and learn more about their culture. You’ll be served lunch at Ende before continuing on to Bajawa. You’ll make a stop at Penggajawa Blue Stone beach where its made up entirely made up of turquoise, blue and reddish stones. These colourful stones are collected by locals to be sold to buyers or collectors.
Day 3 – Bajawa / Ruteng
After having breakfast at the hotel make your way to the traditional village of Bajawa tribes. You’ll visit Bena, the megalithic village where people do preserve their ancestral spirits. The village features beautiful stone formations, ancestral shrines and traditional houses, you’ll be able to learn a lot about their culture during your visit there. Another stop will be made at the slope of Inerie, an active volcano, for some photo opportunities. Lunch will be provided while you are on your way to Ruteng. En route to Ruteng, you’ll make a stop at Aimere village to see an ‘arak’ distillation and fresh palm juice tapping. Another stop will be made at ‘Ranamese’ Lake to get a breathtaking view of Mt. Inerie which is an active volcano. Then you’ll arrive at Ruteng, a small town which is the capital city of Manggarai Regency where a major Manggarainese tribe used to be.
Day 4 – Ruteng / Labuan Bajo / Rinca / Labuan Bajo
Start your day with a drive to Labuan Bajo and make some stops on the way. Your first stop will be at Lembor area to see the unexposed world wonder, “Lingko” which is a large rice field that was shaped like a spider web. Once you’ve arrived at Labuan Bajo then get transferred to Rinca Island. After a two-and-a-half-hour boat ride, you’ll arrive at Komodo Island where you’ll start trekking through the dry forest. Explore the island with the help of a local ranger and look out for wildlife sightings such as the infamous Komodo dragon, deer, wild buffalo or long-tailed macaque. Then take a late afternoon sail to Kalong Rinca Island where you can witness hundreds of flying foxes emerge from the mangrove trees once the sun sets. Then sail back to Labuan Bajo for a delicious dinner and a good night’s rest.
Day 5 – Labuan Bajo
After breakfast take a short sightseeing trip to the city with a visit to Batu Cermin (Mirror Stone) Cave. This limestone cave has reflective and smooth stone walls on the inside. When light shines through a large opening in the cave it will bounce off the walls, creating the mirror effect. Your next stop is a visit to the local market to do some souvenir shopping before having to head to the airport to catch your flight to Denpasar.
