In the Peninsular of Malaysia, the largest state of Pahang is home to this majestic island called Tioman Island. It is the island which is the largest in a group of 64 volcanic islands. With a dragon-shaped appearance of Tioman Island, the natural beauty of the island is the biggest factor that draws tourist in. The tropical jungle spans about 12,000 hectares of the island and many mountain streams and waterfalls sustain the many species of animals inhabiting the environment. Day 1 - Arrival/Check-in
Jump on the ferry service located at Mersing (On the mainland of Malaysia) to get to Tioman Island. After arriving, you will need to find your way to the Paya Beach Spa & Dive Resort where you will be warmly welcomed by our reception. Check-in and settle down in your new accommodation and freshen up before going for some diving activities. You will go on an introductory session for Scuba Diving with one pool session for a practice session. (It is ideal for Beginners and no diving license is needed). After the practice, you can head for an amazing dinner that is prepared by our experienced in-house chef. Then retire to your accommodation and have a good night sleep.
Day 2 - Discover Scuba Dive/Marine Park Snorkelling
Wake up to the sound of oncoming waves hitting the shore and mesmerizing morning sunrise. Then head down to the resort for a wide spread of buffet breakfast. With a filled stomach and energised, head out for some of the activities that are happening.
You can go for a snorkelling boat trip to Riggis land and Marine Park. The equipment required for the dive will be prepared for you. Collect the personal floating device and the other gears from the tour guides. After a short briefing of the events for the snorkelling boat trip, you will be free to take the dive. Swim beside fishes and other creatures that inhabitant the surrounding coral reefs. Explore the rich vivid colours of the coral reefs that make the underwater so colourful.
You may also choose to join a yoga session by the sea that is facilitated by the resort. The session begins at 7 am in the morning so you may want to do the yoga before having the buffet breakfast. You will be doing some basic yoga moves that focus on balancing and breathing technique. This will help ease tense muscles and it makes you feel better.
In the afternoon, you may choose to go for a Rainforest & Mangrove Swamp Walk where you can discover the natural beauty of Tioman Island. During the low tide, you can see the various animals that populate the mangrove. Take pictures of these animals that come out and linger around the roots of the mangrove trees.
Later in the evening, get back to the resort to find dinner prepared for you before retiring to your accommodation.
Day 3 Departure
On this last day, pack your bags and go for breakfast at the resort getting on the ferry that will take you to the mainland. It will be such a memorable trip so sign up with us today!
