Tioman island off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, known as a geological wonder, ecological paradise and one of Southeast Asia’s most beautiful travel destinations. Tioman Island is located 32 nautical miles off Pahang state, you can reach the island by taking a ferry service from the Mersing (Johor). Tioman Island continues to enchant her visitors with warm beaches, lovely seas and lush rainforests. Tioman Island is a unique location for watersport with its pristine water and diverse biodiversity. Hop on the bandwagon and discover the amazing beauty that Tioman Island has to offer today!
Day 1 - Arrival/Check-in
Get on a ferry that will take you from Mersing (from Johor) to Tioman Island just under 2 hours. Upon your arrival, you will need to find your way to Paya Beach Spa & Dive Resort, where you will be given a warm welcome by our receptionist. Enjoy a seamless check-in process as we would have pre-booked the suite which is a beachfront beforehand. Settle down into your new environment and freshen up. Then, head down for your Scuba Dive Session, where you will be taught the introduction to scuba diving with a pool session (no diving license is required). The session is perfect for all levels from armatures to advanced divers, you can expect to learn or enhance your diving skills. Finishing the diving session, head back to the resort to find a sumptuous dinner being prepared for you by our in-house chef. Once done with dinner head back to your accommodation and retire for the evening.
Day 2 - Discover Scuba Dive/Marine Park Snorkelling
Rise and Shine to the sound of crashing waves making landfall, slowly get prepare for the day ahead. Then go down for a hearty buffet breakfast that is specially prepared for you. With a full stomach, you can choose to join some of the activities that are included in the tour package.
Firstly, there is the option of going to Riggis land and Marine Park to do a snorkelling session. The equipment for the expedition will be provided for by the resort. You will be entitled to choose from a series of well-maintained equipment that is in resort’s stalls. After a short briefing and safety demonstration, you will head out to sea and be allowed to take the plunge into the cool seawater. Feel comfortable with the rush of cold water onto your skin. You will get to see the vibrant colours of the coral reefs that form much of the seabed and swim with a school of fishes at an arm’s length away.
Alternatively, there is also a choice to head for a yoga session that is taking place on the beach at 7 am in the morning. You will be able to see the beautiful sunrise as you do different yoga positions. The session will focus more on techniques and breathing to help you stretch your muscles.
There is also an option to go for a Rainforest & Mangrove Swamp Walk in the afternoon. Trek through the Mangrove with your guide when it is low tide, you will get to see the different species of animals that use the Mangrove as their habitat. Take pictures of these animals as they crawl across the shoots of the mangroves.
In the evening, go back to the resort for a dinner that will be waiting for you. Then get a good night’s rest.
Day 3 Departure
On the final day, pack up your belongings, check out and head back to mainland Malaysia.
