Filled with miles of white sandy beaches and swaying palm trees, flowers in the wild growing in a vivid fusion of colours, cool waterfalls cascading down a moss-covered slope and rustic, charming villages filled with friendly people. That is Tioman Island. From above, Tioman Island looks like a tear-shaped tropical island paradise located about 80 Kilometres northwest off the east coast of peninsular Malaysia. The island is filled with marine life and is a good location for water sports activities. Head down to Tioman Island to enjoy the sun and beach today!
Day 1 - Arrival/Check-in
The journey of your adventure starts with getting on board a ferry that will take you from Mersing to Tioman Island itself. Disembarking, you will need to find your way to Paya Beach Spa & Dive Resort. You will then check-in via the reception to your Deluxe Chalet with a Beach Front view that has been pre-booked by us. Get accustomed to your new environment and freshen up. Then head down to for the introductory session for Scuba Diving. This session is ideal for beginners who wants to learn some basic diving techniques and to know more about the sport. After a fulfilling session, head down to the resort for a sumptuous dinner that is prepared by our in-house chef.
Day 2 - Discover Scuba Dive/Marine Park Snorkelling
On the next day, wake up to the sound of waves crashing onto the shore and slowly prepare for the day ahead. Then head down for a hearty breakfast that will be prepared for you. Next, there are several activities that you can take part in that are included in the tour package.
Firstly, there is the option of going to Riggis land and Marine Park for a snorkelling session where you will get to explore the beauty of the coral reefs. The equipment for the expedition will be provided for by the resort. You will be entitled to choose from a series of well-maintained equipment that is in resort’s stalls. Feel comfortable with the rush of cold water onto your skin. You will get to see the vibrant colours of the coral reefs that form much of the seabed and swim with a school of fishes at an arm’s length away.
Alternatively, you can choose to head for a yoga session that is taking place on the beach at 7 am in the morning. You will be able to see the beautiful sunrise as you do different yoga positions and relax your mind. The session will focus more on techniques and breathing to help you stretch the tense muscles.
In the afternoon, join the Rainforest & Mangrove Swamp Walk as you take in the fresh air and sight of nature. Trek through the Mangrove with your guide when it is low tide, you will get to see the different species of animals that use the Mangrove as their habitat. Take pictures of these animals as they crawl across the shoots of the mangroves.
In the evening, go back to the resort for a dinner that will be waiting for you. Then get a good night’s rest.
Day 3 Departure
On the final day, pack up your belongings, check out and head back to mainland Malaysia.
