Tour Description:

A nature retreat that is sure to dispel accumulated weariness, you can be assured that a trip to Templer Park and back would leave you refreshed and ready to tackle what life throws at you again. Located just 22 km north of the Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area, the park boasts a lush, green expanse that is home to diverse flora and fauna; boasting majestic cascades sequestered close to the Serendah Forest Reserve and the beautifully landscaped Commonwealth Forest Park. Begin the tour at approximately 08:45 am from your hotel and enjoy the 40 minutes’ drive to the park.

As you shriek with joy at the sight of the silvery stream splashing against smooth, water-eroded rocks, look out for exotic birds flitting about between the tree branches. Templer Park is a popular spot for avid bird-watchers and if you are attentive and lucky enough, you might even spot the crested serpent eagle, blue-winged leafbird or the earless agamid, to name a few. It is common to see families having picnics along the river; find a quiet spot and settle down to relax for a bit before proceeding to explore the jungle further. Do watch out for cheeky macaques; ever ready to lighten your load with their crafty minds and quick fingers.

After a short trek, take a rejuvenating dip in the natural swimming pool located at the foot of the trail while enjoying the picturesque view of Bukit Takun, a limestone hill that existed even before the modern human came to be. With such a desirable retreat situated so close by, it is no wonder that the locals frequent the park to escape the rigour of an urban lifestyle. If you are looking to do some light meditation or to just release some tension, head towards the Kanching Waterfalls (also known as Templer Park Falls) and let the clear waters banish your worries and improve your mood.
