Ride into the sunset and you just may find yourself surrounded by a traditional Malay Kampong where you get to sample Kampong-style cooking and observe the Kampong folks.
If you’ve been fascinated by the local Malay community, this would put you smack dab in the Malay Kampong where you get to observe the Kampong folks go about their daily business and see how they live. Embark on a short bicycle ride to the village and observe their simplistic lifestyle and content demeanour; watch as children return home from school and adults play “sepak takraw” while other folks wait in line to buy their next meal from various stalls.
Then we will stop by a wooden stilt house by the river. You will enjoy traditional home-cooked dinner which includes the delicious de-facto national dish of Malaysia, the nasi lemak. Nothing beats a dish made using a recipe perfected over the course of generations. After dinner, we will hop on a sampan for a surreal sunset cruise to get to the other side of the river. Admire the view of the Astana Dun Building and the Mosque against the backdrop of the setting sun, painting the sky a tangerine orange and vermilion – perfect for a panoramic shot!
