Tour Description:

Sipadan Water Village is a beautiful resort that sits off the coast of Mabul island and boasts Bajau architectural designs. The resort is held up over the water on stilts that are made of Belian wood, or ironwood, and are placed at certain points after careful planning in order to reduce further damage to the existing reef. The resort is a utopia on earth with its luxurious cottages laid out over the surface of crystal clear blue waters and wooden sidewalks fringed with pretty flowers. The service there is phenomenal and is meant to pamper you to the maximum on your getaway. The cuisine that you will get to enjoy throughout your trip is Asian and Continental in nature.

The resort aims not only to give you the best outdoor experience on your dives, but it also aims to provide you with the best indoor experience, and with the Deluxe Cottage, you will get exactly that. This room is perfect for a couple on their honeymoon as it has a king-sized bed and a balcony that can offer either a breathtaking view of the sea or a scenic view of the island. There is also a private bathtub that you can lounge and soak in after a fun but tiring day of diving. But enough about your room! The highlight of your trip should be the dives you will get to experience.

Diving at Mabul island is an experience that one must never miss out on. With its 17 dive sites and easy access from the resort that takes only a duration of about 15 minutes, Mabul presents to you an amazing collection of marine life to be observed easily. Famous for its macro-diving, one should definitely bring along a waterproof camera to photograph the smaller marine organisms that thrive in Mabul’s waters. On a single dive alone, there is a possibility of seeing up to 25 or 30 species of marine life ranging from cephalopods like squid and cuttlefish to small colourful fish like the dragonet and even the unique looking fish like the spiky harlequin ghost pipefish.

Kapalai, on the other hand, is not exactly an island; rather, it is a sandbar that consists of a small sloping reef which is home to gloriously beautiful and strange critters. Among the view sights, you might see floating or zipping through the water are the blue ring octopus, mimic octopus, wasp fish and stonefish. There are also giant potato groupers, schooling jackfish, bumphead parrotfish and fusiliers that reflect light beautifully, but of course, these marine life sightings cannot be guaranteed, as these creatures have minds of their own. Nonetheless, any sea creatures you come across are worth photographing, as every picture tells a story and your trip to Mabul and Kapalai is definitely a story you will want to share!

• Transfer duration above are estimated and subject to traffic and weather condition, and not inclusive of any sightseeing

• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during stipulated time
• Guests are advised to go for a medical check-up and arrive in good conditions. In the event of unexpected health problem after the booking has been made, please include a doctor’s official letter in order to keep the booking postponed for one year maximum
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own
• Note: Starting from 1st September 2017, a tourism tax of RM10 per room per night will be imposed on non-Malaysian tourists for all types of hotels and accommodations. This is payable to the hotel upon check-out
• Diving in Sipadan requires a special permit (limited to only 120 divers a day). Guests who opt for diving in Sipadan will be required to obtain the permit from the resort front desk at RM40 per person, per day
• It would not be possible for us to do transfer directly to the resort on the same day if the arrival is late as it would be dark (after 1600PM at Semporna) for the boat transfer and is not advisable for safety reason. It is recommended to take the flight before 1400PM to arrive at Tawau Airport for direct transfer to Sipadan Water Village Resort
