Tour Description:

Join us for a relaxing cruise down the majestic Sarawak River aboard the MV Equatorial for a picturesque view of the beautiful Kuching skyline. Be enthralled by the landmarks of a bygone era that still stands majestically along the riverbanks such as Fort Margherita, an old fort constructed in 1879 by Charles Brooke, Rajah of Sarawak. We will also cruise by The Astana, also built by Charles Brook in 1870 and currently the official residence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, the Governor of Sarawak.

This 1 hour and 30-minutes cruise will also give you unobstructed views of the city and its surroundings that are impossible to experience from dry land. As we pass by the local ‘tambangs’, small house-like boats used for ferrying locals across the river, don’t forget to catch a glimpse of the stunning Parliament House, with its uniquely shaped ‘Melanau’ tribe hat roof. If weather permits, bask in the warmth of the Kuching sunset and don’t forget your camera for this picture-perfect moment!
