Tour Description:

Located within the Mersing Marine Park, Pulau Tioman is known as one of Malaysia’s best island getaways, featuring white pristine beaches, cascading waterfalls, lush jungles and the gorgeous sea of emerald and blue beckoning travellers to go for a swim! The underwater world around the island also offers some of the best and most accessible dive sites, featuring diverse corals and marine-life that would tickle the fancy of any diving enthusiast. The PADI Open Water Course represents one of the world’s most popular and widely recognized course. This four-day course consists of three main phases: knowledge development, confined water dives and open water dives. Learn the basic principles of scuba diving before taking your newly learned skills into the pool and sea!

Standard Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrival / theory / equipment explanation, first dive from pool/shore

Day 2 - Theory class / two dives from pool/shore

Day 3 - Theory class / two dives from pool/shore, final theory exam

Day 4 - Two dives from the boat (if time permits), certification, departure in the afternoon

Cancellation Policy:

• 30% of the trip's full price is non-refundable at any time
• From 29 to 15 days before arrival of guests: 50% of the trip's full price forfeited
• From 14 to 8 days before arrival of guests:70% of the trip's full price forfeited
• 7 days or less before arrival of guests: 100% of the trip's full price forfeited

Pick-Up Time:

• 9:30 am to 10:00 am

What's Included:

• Three (3) nights’ Tioman Dive Resort, Executive Room Accommodation
• PADI Open Water Diver course (including certification if mastery is achieved)
• All required course materials (student manual, dive table, logbook) and dive equipment rental

• Any Items Not Mentioned
• Meals
• Transportation to/from Tioman Island
• Marine Park Fees:
• Mersing: MYR 10.00 for locals, MYR 50.00 for foreigners
• Tanjung Gemok: MYR 10.00 for locals, MYR 30.00 for foreigners
• Malaysian Tourism Tax of MYR 10.00 per room per night for foreigners (payable at the resort)

• Prerequisites for taking the course:
• You must know how to swim (there will be a 200m swim test or a 300m snorkeling test)
• You must know how to float (there will be a 10 minute float test)
• Students must arrive with a morning ferry and depart with an afternoon ferry on the last day to have sufficient time to complete the course
• We will need approximately 3 1/2 days on the island to complete the course. Ferries out of Mersing are often not suitable due to their late departure times. Ferries out of Tanjung Gemok are more reliable and thus a better option
• The PADI Open Water package includes 4 training days. Additional training days will be charged at MYR 250.00/day
• Certification depends on your ability and your mastery of the skills and cannot be guaranteed
• It is generally recommended to extend your stay by one night
• Standard Accommodations are booked at any of the following resorts: Tioman House, Cozy Inn, Fiqthya Chalets, Nazri II, Salang Pusaka or Salang Indah (whichever is available)
