Tour Description:

Located within the Mersing Marine Park, Pulau Tioman is known as one of Malaysia’s best island getaways, featuring white pristine beaches, cascading waterfalls, lush jungles and the gorgeous sea of emerald and blue beckoning travellers to go for a swim! The underwater world around the island also offers some of the best and most accessible dive sites, featuring diverse corals and marine-life that would tickle the fancy of any diving enthusiast.

In the PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) Course, you will be learning simple yet effective steps to emergency care. The course will focus on building the confidence of the responder to prepare them when facing any sudden medical emergencies, all in a non-stressful learning environment. Following the EFR Course, we will be going through the Rescue Diver certification where the diver will learn and manage problems in the water. Noted as one of the most challenging, but rewarding course by divers worldwide, training to be a rescue diver means building confidence in helping others underwater whenever needed. You will be training to be prepared for dive emergencies, both minor and major, as well as practising rescue scenarios.

Standard Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrival, EFR Course, Rescue theory, one pool/shore dive

Day 2 - Rescue theory, two pool/shore dives

Day 3 - Rescue theory, two pool/shore dives, final exam

Day 4 - Two Rescue dives from boat, certification, departure in the afternoon

Cancellation Policy:

• 30% of the trip's full price is non-refundable at any time
• From 29 to 15 days before arrival of guests: 50% of the trip's full price forfeited
• From 14 to 8 days before arrival of guests:70% of the trip's full price forfeited
• 7 days or less before arrival of guests: 100% of the trip's full price forfeited

Pick-Up Time:

• 9:30 am to 10:00 am

• Three (3) nights’ Tioman Dive Resort, Executive Room Accommodation
• EFR Emergency First Responder course (including certification)
• PADI Rescue Diver course (including certification if mastery is achieved)
• All required course materials (student manuals and emergency procedure slate)
• All dive equipment rental if required
• Two dives to be completed on our dive boat (subject to weather conditions) with lunch and refreshments included

• Marine Park Fees:
• Mersing: MYR 10.00 for locals, MYR 50.00 for foreigners
• Tanjung Gemok: MYR 10.00 for locals, MYR 30.00 for foreigners
• Malaysian Tourism Tax of MYR 10.00 per room per night for foreigners (payable at the resort)

• Must hold PADI Open Water certification or equivalent
