Longing for exciting experience while travelling in Vietnam? Join us on this trekking adventure in Pu Luong Nature Reserve! Not only can you enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Vietnamese countryside, but you can also discover the charming tribal culture hidden amidst the verdant forests and mountain ranges in Pu Luong.

Day 1 – Hanoi / Pu Luong

Situated around 160 kilometres away from Hanoi, Pu Luong could be easily reached in a four-hour ride. In this tour, we will take a detour on a more scenic route and make several stops along the way before we reach Pu Luong Nature Reserve. After we pick you up in Hanoi on our limousine bus, we will drive for around 2 hours before we stop for a short toilet break in Luong Son where the countryside atmosphere begins to unveil. Get ready to be amazed by the beautiful green valleys and lush mountains as we pass through the famous Thung Khe Pass on our way to the Muong ethnic minority local market! Once you have shopped for the local products here, we will continue our drive towards Pu Luong after transferring into a van at Mai Chau.

As we reach the Pu Luong Eco Garden – The Mountain Retreat, we will have our lunch and check in to our accommodation for the night. You can have a quick rest before we embark on our trekking adventure in the afternoon. At around 2:30 pm, we will board the van to the starting point of the trail and begin our easy trek for today. While following through the country roads along the rice and sugarcane fields, we have to cross the suspension bridges in order to reach the remote area where the Thai ethnic minority groups reside. After trekking in the middle of nature, we will visit the villages of Chieng Lau, Yen and Ba to learn more about the local culture. When we pass by the giant water wheels, we will arrive at the duck farms where we could observe the traditional agricultural techniques being used here. We will conclude our trekking trip by enjoying a relaxing cruise down the Cham River on the bamboo raft. Finally, we will return to the hotel to have our barbecue dinner and you may also enjoy the local rice wine before retreating for the night.  

Day 2 – Pu Luong / Hanoi

As we have warmed up with an easy trek the previous day, we will challenge the medium trek for today. Before we leave for our adventure, make sure you have recharged your energy and fueled up with a hearty breakfast! Our trek starts from the small off-beaten paths through the extensive paddy fields surrounded by verdant mountain ranges. While walking around this area, don’t forget to take in the breathtaking countryside scenery and natural beauty of Pu Luong! After crossing the stream, we will arrive at the rural villages of the Black Thai minority group where we will witness how the locals go about their daily activities.

The most interesting ethnic village we are going to visit today is the Kho Muong Village. Located deep inside the forests and mountain ranges, we need to trek for around 6 kilometres on some uphill trails to reach this hidden charm of Pu Luong. Besides admiring the scenic landscape of green valleys from this village, we will head over to the Doi Cave (Bat Cave) which is the largest cave in Pu Luong Nature Reserve. We will experience the rich biodiversity of the area as we enter the cave inhabited by 5 species of bat colonies. Don’t miss out on the amazing formations of stalactites and stalagmites here! Once we conquer the trek route, we will return to the hotel and have our scrumptious lunch. Following the strenuous workout earlier, you will have some free time to unwind and take a quick rest. At 2 pm, we will board the van to Mai Chau where we will transfer to our bus for the return trip to Hanoi. Our tour ends as we drop you off at your hotel.
