The beautiful cityscape stuns and excites even tourists and locals alike with the vibrant lifestyle and rich culture of the area. However, when it comes to Vietnam, the countryside itself has its own irresistible allure. The vast verdant landscape and the crystal clear water define the beautiful horizon of countryside Vietnam and a sunset view from the nearby village takes your breath away. They are not meant as a teaser because you will get the chance to experience the entire beauty of the landscape on your own once you sign up for this tour. Day 1 - Hanoi/ Mai Chau
You will depart from your hotel at 8:00 A.M. in the morning for a morning drive to Mai Chau. Along the way, you will pass through a series of the scenic landscape consisting of towering and beautiful mountains. You will then drive up a massive pass and end your drive in the mountainous circus of Mai Chau. As you make your way and bring yourself to Mai Hich, you will check yourself into the traditional house of a Thai ethnic minority family made of wood and stilt. Once there, the day will have shifted into the afternoon. You will then take a warm-up cycle around the verdant hills with your guide. Along the way, your guide will bring you along the scenic routes and explain the many wonders you should pay attention to. Then, you will return back to your host family home for dinner and an overnight stay at the stilt house with your friendly family host. Although there will be no private room, you will get to sleep in the large communal area of the house. You will be provided with a single mattress, blanket, pillow and mosquito net. The restroom is also just a few steps away from the main house.
Day 2 - Mai Chau/ Pu Luong
After the delicious breakfast, you will make your way east for around 15 km before entering Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Upon arrival, you will alight from your car and proceed with a 2-hours’ trekking on a single trail through Thai villages and rice terrace. There will also be places to take a break along the way. Then, you will return to your car for a quick transfer to Pu Luong retreat lodge where you will check into the traditional house-on-silts and enjoy your deliciously prepared lunch. Come afternoon, you will take another hike onto Kho Muong village. The trek will last about 2.5 hours and will be at an intermediate difficulty level. Be sure to bring along your good trekking shoes and batteries for your camera. You do not want to miss out on the beautiful photo opportunities along the way. Then, it will be back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Pu Luong/ Tam Coc
With breakfast done, you will bid your goodbye to Pu Luong and head straight to Tam Coc. After dropping your luggage, you will proceed straight to your exploration journey. Hop on your bicycle for an easy cycling trip around the Halong vicinity of Tam Coc and settle down for lunch at your local house. Later on in the afternoon, you will go on a local rowed sampan and discover the scenic waterways of the area. Finally, you will return to your cosy bungalow for dinner and retire for the day.
Day 4 - Tam Coc/ Halong
You will depart early for an approximate 4-hours’ drive to Halong City through the Red River Delta. Once you arrive, you will bid your farewell to your guide and driver as you get on board your group cruise at the Treasure Junk.
