Tour Description:

Cycling is more than just sports. It is a lifestyle, a fun time and for others, a chance to explore new places. Indeed, we take this belief into heart and present to you the combination of fun cycling and beautiful view all in one whole swoop. Pu Luong Nature Reserve is a destination full of natural beauty and bounty. Even as you take yourself to the reserve, you will pass by various villages where you will be able to see the lives of local residents and how they go about their daily lives. With 1,109 species of vascular plants and more than 26 species of animals, there are much to see and enjoy from the reserve. So strap up for 3 days’ worth of fun and adventure.

Day 1 - Hanoi / Mai Chau

You will depart for your hotel at around 8:00 A.M. and head to Mai Chau in the wee morning. Along the way, you will pass through the various mountainous landscape, perfect for your photo-taking opportunity. The journey will continue all the way to the mountainous circus of Mai Chau. As you arrive at a small town called Mai Hich, you will check yourself into the traditional guesthouse of a Thai minority family. The house itself is made of wood and stilt, giving further aesthetic into the building itself. Then, in the afternoon, you will take some warm-up cycling around the green hills along with your guide. Along the way, you will witness the many wonders and beauty of the hill as your guide explained to you the different things to look out for. Weather permitting, you will also be able to check out the nice cascades hidden around the area.  Finally, after the cycling is done, you will return for dinner and spend your evening at your friendly Thai host’s home.

Day 2 - Mai Chau / Pu Luong Nature Reserve

With breakfast done, you will continue your journey to the entrance of Pu Luong Nature Reserve. You will start your cycling adventure with an easy sealed road and cross your way from west to east on a small road before ending on an easy trail. The 50 km ride offers you a range of unparalleled view of the valleys and terraced rice fields which are definitely ones you do not want to miss. Then, you will make your way through villages while spending and getting to know the locals simultaneously. Your lunch will be served at a local restaurant en-route. Soon, you will arrive at Pu Luong ecolodge where you will be spending the rest of your day and evening. Nestled between two streams, the vicinity of the lodge offers a level of comfort that you will come to enjoy especially when evening comes around. Check yourself into your private bungalow and have the rest of the day to your own preference.

Day 3 - Pu Luong / Hanoi

Your final day’s program is flexible. Today it is yet another ride for as far as 10 - 40 km. Take it easy and take your steps one at at a time. If you would rather spend your morning at the eco-lodge, you are welcomed to take a short trek to a nearby waterfall as well. Alternatively, you can go for more cycling. Afterwards, take your early lunch back at the inn before making your way to Pho Doan. There, you will drive back to Hanoi to conclude the tour.

Cancellation Policy:

• All cancellations/Alterations/Postponement must be informed in person or in writing. Cancellation fees are as below:
• 8-30 days before departure : 25% of the payment is forfeited
• 7 – 3 days before departure : 75% of the payment is forfeited
• Less than 3 days before departure : 100% of the payment is forfeited

• With ‘Homestay’ experience, your overnight accommodation is provided by a local family in their traditional house-on-silts. There’s no private room and you’ll sleep on the floor in a large communal area. The sleeping corner is set up with a single mattress (thin, but adequate), blankets (ditto), pillow and mosquito net. The restroom is an international standard and a few steps from the main house
• Pu Luong ecolodge (aka Les-Bains-de-Hieu) is located in the heart of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve and only accessible by foot for motorbike ride so it’s advisable to travel light with a day pack. The lodge has only 3 traditional bungalows, each has private veranda but no air-conditioner. There’s no attached toilet but you’ll share stylish restroom a few steps away
• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during the stipulated time
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own
