Enrich yourself by exploring the different sides of Phu Quoc Island and uncovering the historical and industrial root of the northern and southern end of the island.
It may sound surprising but the northern and southern side of Phu Quoc are very different to each other. The south is famous for its marine ecosystem and focuses its industry around the ocean environment such as the pearl and fishing industries. The north, however, is more focused on the farming and factory produces, producing crops such as Phu Quoc Pepper and making Sim wine as its main economic output. When its comes to culture and history, the north is focused on revering the hero of Vietnam’s history while the south is more concerned about preserving the dark side of history. Both are as different as day and night but all in all, both the south and north tell their own perspectives on the history and economy of Phu Quoc.
