Tour Description:

Food is easily the most prominent part of any culture. Even for the seemingly same dish, each culture has their own way of cooking and marinating the ingredient, resulting in a variety of different taste and flavour. The same can be said for Vietnam. Zooming into Phu Quoc, this island state of Vietnam focuses much of its culinary choice on the ocean. Its proximity to the surrounding water and the fact that fishing makes up the island’s main meat intake reflects just how closely the local culture is associated with the ocean. In this tour, you will learn to cook a variety of local dishes, ranging from fried fish all the way to the famous Vietnamese spring roll - all under the direct supervision of your own professional chef.

Your first stop is Duong Dong Market. After all, a chef is nothing without the proper ingredients. Your stop will bring you around the bustling and lively market where you will go around in search of the ingredients you will need for the day. It is also the perfect time to get yourself familiar with the difference between the local Vietnamese ingredient and market practice along the way. Once you have found all your necessary ingredients, you will make your way to your cooking class. There, your friendly local chef will be waiting to teach you the techniques and know-how on crafting the perfect menu. You will also get to learn the different functions of each herb and spice in the cooking process and you might just find inspiration in combining the herbs and spices with your own home cooking. So roll up your sleeves, get yourself pumped up and ready yourself for some delicious lesson. Once you are done, you will be able to dine and have a good taste of your own creation as you learn more about the different taste of the local delicacy and how you fare when compared to the original taste. Feel free to also ask your friendly chef on their cooking tips and culinary experiences if you are interested to further learn about the basic and proper technique of Vietnamese culinary. 

With the session done, you will finally head back to your hotel and conclude your tour.

Cancellation Policy:

• All cancellation from guest incur additional charges as follows:
• 48 hours before the departure day: 50% charge of the total tour cost.
• After 48 hours before the departure day or no-show: 100% charge of the total tour cost
• Customers cannot receive any types of compensation in the case of annulations is due to a force majeure
