Truly, it is a place of wonder and adventure. Each and every city has its own stories and cultural significance. Phong Nha is, of course, one of them. Find out more about the history and beautiful surroundings of Phong Nha in this full day tour around the city.
Once we pick you up from your hotel, you will head straight to Paradise Cave in your van. The journey takes about 30 minutes but you can feast your eyes on the bustling morning life of Phong Nha and enjoy the scenery along the way. Open the car window and wake yourself up with that morning breeze rushing past your cheeks as you head toward your destination.
When you finally arrive at Paradise Cave, you will have 2 full hours to explore and marvel at the beautiful cave and its formations. Located in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, this cave is elevated 200 metres above the sea level and was first founded in 2005. With a total cave length reaching a full 31 km, Paradise Cave is the longest cave in the national park itself. Its spectacular limestone formations impressed the early British cave explorers so much that they named the place Paradise Cave. Even more, a new species of a scorpion family was founded in this very cave. With such an important cave within your reach, do take your time to explore every nook and cranny of this massive cave.
After you are done, you will make your way to 8 Lady Cave. This cave was the very site that witnessed the trapping of 8 young men and ladies during a fall-in after a bomb strike. A temple has also been built next to the cave to honour the sacrifice of these young boys and girls. The cave also serves as a reminder of the horror of war and how it should not be repeated again. Next, you will start your trek into the jungle to reach Tra Ang Cave. After travelling a fair distance, you will be able to sit down and enjoy your scrumptious lunch before you reach Tra Ang Cave. Inside Tra Ang Cave, swim your way 600 metres along the cave and explore the interior before you make your way back to Ho Chi Minh road. Once you arrive at Ho Chi Minh road, you will stop for some cold drink before we drive you back to your place at Phong Nha.
