Perhentian Island, a.k.a. stopping point island, is more than just a sailor’s stopping centre during his/her sailing trip. While it was originally named because of the island’s popularity in being a sailor’s respite for a long journey, the island still stays true to its name even today - the only difference is, instead of attracting sailors, the island attracts visitors. Looking closer though, it is not hard to see why. The crystalline water is just begging for you to swim in it, the azure sky beckons you to look at it longer and the soft sandy beach makes you feel like walking on clouds. It is no wonder that Perhentian Island has successfully attracted many tourists and visitors over the year - how could one say no to such an alluring destination?
On the beachside, Perhentian Island is a seaside resort unlike any other. The sandy white beach is soft to touch and the waves crashing onto the beach are refreshingly cool to touch. Enjoy the view of the far horizon as you sip some alcoholic drinks amidst the golden ray of sunlight. Bask yourself in the warmth of the day as you make your way around the scenic surrounding of the island and get to know more about what to expect and find around the island. If you are lucky, you may also find some green and hawksbill turtle nests laying around the area too. Of course, be careful when you do as you do not want to damage the nesting area of these majestic turtles.
Diving into the water, it is a whole new world under the sea. Coral reefs and colourful fishes can be found roaming around the seabed. Occasionally, small fishes may be seen coming out from the corals in search of food. This is where your chance comes! Get your camera out and snap some beautiful pictures of the small fishes coming out to feed for your memory. If you fancy bigger fishes as well, keep a lookout for parrotfish, manta rays and black-tipped sharks around the area too. Or, if you are a huge fan of invertebrates, you will be pleased with the rich species of squid found around the water of the South China Sea.
As the name suggests, your room will provide you with both the luxury of a premier grade and the beauty of a garden location. Comes in a choice of either a twin or queen size bed, your room features your own air-conditioning unit and minibar which you can enjoy all for yourself. This room is also perfect for family as the nearby garden allows for children to play during their free time too. Moreover, being able to wake up and see the lush garden first thing in the morning is not something that everybody can brag about.
