Get hands on with a special mooncake-making workshop and explore the wonders of herbal tastes and fragrances in the Herbal Oasis.
Take a field trip to the lovely Herbal Oasis of Port Dickson as you and your family surround yourselves in a world of flora and fauna. We start the day with a visit to the Ostrich Farm, which is home to a large variety of animals; including ostriches, camels, and rabbits. Guests are allowed to feed and pet these graceful beasts; as well as participate in fun activities such as riding an ostrich and even running with them.
Next, we take you into the depths of the magnificent Herbal Oasis, where over 200 types of wonderful herbs are planted in their gardens. Additionally, there is also a Jungle Park where you can encounter the herbs growing in their natural habitat. Guests are given free roam of the park as they explore the many varieties and species of herbs and their different uses and properties that give them a unique smell or taste. Visitors are given a free herbal tea sampling session as you experience the flavour of the unique blends of teas that they have to offer
Put your baking skills to the test as we begin a mooncake-making workshop. Mooncakes are a traditional Chinese dessert typically eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival for good luck. They are particularly difficult to make and require a lot of skill and patience. Thankfully, the skilled bakers will show you how to make different flavours of mooncakes and will even wrap two of your own creations for you to take home and enjoy.
