Make your way up to infinity and beyond on your own Jetpack ride as you overlook the beautiful Indian Ocean and its distant horizon amidst the azure sky!
The beach of Nusa Dua in Bali is a place of local lore and international fame. While the breathtaking beach may no longer sound unfamiliar to you, it is also packed with local myths chronicling the origin of the beach. One of them tells the epic adventure of the hero named Kebo Iwa. Renowned for his spiritual prowess, he came to aid the last king of Warma Dewa, Sri Astasura Bumi Banten, amidst his battle against the Kingdom of Majapahit. In order to defeat the raging army of Majapahit, Keba Iwa went to the Uluwatu Temple and asked the god Sang Hyang Rudra to grant him more spiritual power. Sang Hyang Rudra agreed and bestowed unto him two stones filled with magic. Upon his return journey, however, one of the stones fell and broke in twain. The magic of the stone did bless the surrounding soil and life began to flourish around the area. The two (translates to “Dua” in Bahasa Indonesia) fragmented stones eventually grew so big that they resembled two islands (also known as “Nusa” in Bahasa Indonesia) of their own. That is the very legend of how Nusa Dua came to be. Of course, the myth aside, Nusa Dua Beach is packed with much adventurous fun for you to try out - one of them being the Jetpack ride.
If the Flyboard makes you feel like Iron Man with water jet equipped on your feet, the Jetpack is as its name suggests. The only difference is that the jetpack is equipped like a backpack on your shoulder with steers located on both your armrest for navigation. The water jet propulsion system will generate a water pushing force that is strong enough to lift you up into the sky. Should you feel that the water power is too strong or weak, feel free to tell your guide as the power can be adjusted. Also, instead of having your legs locked in a position like the Flyboard, you can now move them freely to enjoy some good fun at up to 5 m high up in the air. What’s even better is that you will be able to enjoy the whole experience sitting down on the comfort of the Jetpack. As you turn and look around the beautiful view of the ocean from up there, you will see the beauty of the Balinese Indian Ocean from up close and personal that will leave you coming back for more.
As you feast your eyes on the distant horizon from up high, look around the for the crowd around the water and look at their face full of amazement as you go around the pristine water. If you have the time, do consider riding it in the evening during sunset as well. The backdrop of the golden ocean makes for a breathtaking photo opportunity and a memory like no other. Plus, there is a whole different feel to watching the sunset when you are airborne compared to when you are not. It feels as if your whole body is floating freely up in the sky and before you know it, you are left breathless before the panoramic view in front of you. When you are satisfied and ready to go back, signal to your guide and you will be brought back ashore.
