Get the chance to feel the fresh air of Ninh Binh and peek into the rural and traditional way of living apart from its stunning scenery.
Famously known as the Ha Long Bay on land, Ninh Binh has successfully pampered tourists with its stunning scenery and also provides tourists with a chance to experience the most rural and authentic side of Vietnam. It is located in northern Vietnam about 95 kilometres away from Hanoi. This makes it a great place for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city. There are hundreds of limestone cliffs that seem like it suddenly 'appears' from the ground, scattered around the city with rivers flowing through and caves formed in them.
We will pick you up at your hotel at 6:30 am in the morning and take you to the northern side of the city in an approximately 3 hours drive. First, we will explore the magnificent surroundings of Thien Ha cave (also known as the Galaxy cave) via the local rowboat down to the peaceful waterways along Ben Dang river. The journey provides an amazing viewing opportunity of Tuong mountain and its' rice fields. You will then continue walking on the stone road for 500 meters near the foot of the Tuong Mountain to get to the gate of Thien Ha. The ladies rowing the boats might ask you for some tips and we suggest a small tip of 10,000 VND.
Recently discovered in 2007 in a location hidden by rainforests on Tuong mountain, Thien Ha cave is beautifully untouched with natural formations of stalagmites & stalactites in shimmering colours – giving you the feeling of being lost in a real paradise on earth. Be arms-length for the next few hours from paddy fields, and also engulfed by the amazing caves until your lunch in Tam Coc. Right after lunch, we will take a short transfer to Hoa Lu to learn about Vietnam’s 9th Century Ancient Capital.
Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is a very famous tourist attraction that offers you the majestic beauty of nature with a good mix of the history of Vietnam in the 9th century where many important events of the nation took place. You will be visiting the temple of King Dinh - the king of the first centralized feudal state of Vietnam and also one of the most important figures in Vietnam's history. In order to commemorate and worship him, locals built this temple. The other temple that you will be visiting is the Temple of King Le. These two temples were constructed with attention to Vietnamese ancient architecture. Most of the statues in these two temples were sculptured hundreds of years ago.
