Tour Description:

Your tour kicks off early in the morning as you will be cycling with your local cyclist guide in the car free-tracks along the Malay villages. It is here in the village you get to witness the rural kampung’s lifestyle where things are slower paced and relaxing here. Watch the river water shimmer from far as you enjoy the scenic route and salty air along Sungai Kerian. In this area, you will be greeted with numbers of fishing villages, fish farms and fishing boat port as this town is mainly depending on fisheries industry as the main income.

Cycling with an empty stomach would not be the best idea so you will stop by a Chinese fishing village at Sungai Udang where your lunch is served here. Taste the authentic local cuisine here that is cooked with the freshest catch of the day before continuing your ride to Sungai Chenam. Contrary to Sungai Udang, this place consists of Malay fishing villages instead. You will learn that in Malaysia, it is a unique trait to see people from villages of a different race living harmoniously together.

Be welcomed by the friendly locals as you will cycle across various farms and plantations. At one point of the tour, you will be cycling along with a long stretch of the picturesque paddy field. Take a quick stop for an Insta-worthy shot or you can just simply enjoy the presence of greeneries. At Kuala Kurau, you will visit the salted egg producing place, where most of your favourite salted egg dish is from. Not only limited to salted egg, this place is also famous for their salted fish that are caught from the seas of Nibong Tebal.

Before embarking on your night boat ride, your last few stops on your bicycle will include Kuala Kurau, Batu Lima and Kampung Kedah. You will be witnessing the magical lights of the fireflies once the sunset. Experience yourself the wonders of watching the fireflies mingle in their natural habitat of the mangrove swamp as they are constantly threatened with the loss of natural habitat. Your tour ends here after having your dinner at a local eatery as you head your way to have a good rest of the night.
