Tour Description:

Your journey begins by visiting to the bicycle shop in the ancient city of Luang Prabang to meet up with your friendly guide and get properly fitted with the appropriately sized mountain biking equipment. Venture out from the city centre of Luang Prabang, where you will head to your first stop which is to the spectacular Wat Pa Phon Phao that is located at the northeast of Luang Prabang and the temple is atop a hill which is the perfect spot to behold the landscape of the ancient city of Luang Prabang. The temple exudes indefinite beauty with its golden exterior and stunning detailing along the panels of the walls and roofs. The Wat Pa Phon Phao is a forest meditation retreat that is known for spreading the teachings of a famous monk, named Ajahn Saisamut.

Ride along a paved road where you will pass by dense teakwood forests that tower over the trail and the vast expanse of rice fields that are spread along the Nam Khan river. Reach the resting spot of the Henri Mouhot, who was an important French explorer in the 19th century and he was the one who shed some spotlight on the fall of Angkor, which is the capital of Cambodia. Mouhot, however, contracted malaria during his travels in the Laos jungle and thus his final resting place was in Laos. Venture further into the trail where you will soar past simple villages and also dense jungle that grows atop the towering mountains till you reach a terrace house that sits along the banks of the Nam Khan river.

Bask in the serene setting in the atmosphere near the Nam Khan River valley where you will board a boat to take you to the starting point of your trail. Explore the luscious jungle that is filled with tightly-packed trees at the base of the Karst mountains. Make a stop at one of the Khmu villages within the mountainous regions, where you will be provided with a delectable lunch that will stimulate your taste buds with flavours. Explore the simple village and gain some insight into the lifestyles of the Khmu people. Stroll along the trail and encounter the stunning Tad Sae waterfall where you will have an opportunity to dip your toes into the cool pool. You may even encounter some adorable elephants that are taking a swim in the pool!

• The total distance of the bicycle ride is 20 kilometres with mixed paved and dirt road. The total distance for trekking trail is 7 kilometres

• Transfer duration above are estimated and subject to traffic and weather condition, and not inclusive of any sightseeing tours
• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during the stipulated time
