Tour Description:

The Mekong River spans an amazing 4,350 km in length and cuts its way through China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. For many of these Southeastern Asian countries, the Mekong River is the source of their river livelihood. As it flows through the many borders, it eventually empties itself at the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. The importance of the river and the delta to the local livelihood can be easily seen from the thriving community and town surrounding it. In this tour, you will get to see the lively and thriving lives around the Mekong Delta while you pamper yourself with some fresh drink and learn further about the process of coconut candies production.

First, you will make your way to the Mekong Delta. The beautiful delta surroundings will offer you a glimpse into the unique and distinct agrarian life of the vibrant southern Delta region. Upon your arrival at the delta, you will enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Mekong River to one of the delta’s islands found near the town of My Tho. There, you will be entertained with traditional music while you sip on some tea which has been sweetened with bee’s honey and seasonal fresh fruit. The afternoon is a slow and refreshing one so be sure to make the best out of it as you go. Then, you will take a paddle-boat and cruise through the narrow canals of the Mekong. The paddle-boat ride itself will give you a glimpse into the booming industry of coconut candies production in Ben Tre. Gain more insight on how they manufacture these sweets and find out where you can purchase some as souvenirs for your friends and families. You will then have your seafood lunch consisting of fresh “Elephant Ear Fish” combined with other delicious Vietnamese dishes. This native fish is crispy on the outside but soft on the inside so you are in for a surprise. With lunch done, you will finally conclude your tour and return to your hotel.

• 48 hours before the departure day: 50% charge of the total tour cost.
• After 48 hours before the departure day or no-show: 100% charge of the total tour cost
• Customers cannot receive any types of compensation in the case of annulations is due to a force majeure
