Tour Description:

The Muara Bay is located in the Laya-Laya Village in Tuaran not far from Kota Kinabalu. It is located between a mangrove forest and the ocean where the sea meets the river. This hidden gem with a pristine beach is less touristy than other beaches in Kota Kinabalu making it a perfect relaxing getaway. Visitors will be able to enjoy a much quieter and relaxing time on the beach while looking at the beautiful view of the sea. This tour will let you have an enjoyable experience in Muara Bay.

The tour starts at 3.00 PM by picking you up at your hotel and then head straight to visit the Likas Mosque. This modern Islamic architectural style mosque is located at the Likas Bay and is one of the iconic attractions in the city. The mosque is partially surrounded by waters in a man made lagoon thus given the nickname “The Floating Mosque”. Many tourists will drop by this mosque to capture beautiful photographs with it. The clean looking mosque and its water offer a picturesque view. Then, we will depart from the mosque and head to Muara Bay at Laya-Laya Village in Tuaran.

After approximately 45 minutes, we will reach our destination. Once we reach there, we will need to go on a boat at the jetty and take a short transfer to the beach. Upon reaching the beach, you will gear up and prepare ourselves for the sunset kayaking. Before you proceed to kayaking, our professional guide will conduct a safety briefing to make sure everyone is well informed. Then, you are free enjoy your kayaking adventure by the beach. While you roam the seas freely in your kayak, the sun sets slowly in the background. You get to enjoy a stunning view on the sunset at Kota Kinabalu.

As the sun set, your kayaking session also comes to an end. Light refreshments will be served to recharge yourself after the kayaking adventure. We will then end the tour by transferring back to Kota Kinabalu which will take around an hour.

• Recommended to bring comfortable shoes/sandals with straps, personal toiletries, sunblock, extra clothes, swimwear, extra pocket money, insect repellent and a waterproof bag
