Embark on an adventure as you hike through Gede Pangrango national park as you conquer the trek to Gede summit!
Day 1 – Jakarta / Cibodas / Kandang Badak
Get ready by 4:30 am to be picked up by your guide from Jakarta to go on a 3.5 hours road trip to Cibodas. Upon arrival at the village, you’ll begin preparing your supplies for the porters before going on your climb. You’ll embark o your trek at 9 am through lush greenery and beautiful forest landscapes. Enjoy the leisurely walk through Gede Pangrango national park as you’re surrounded by nature. You’ll arrive at Cipanas Shelter after a few hours where you’ll break for lunch to regain some energy. Then continue trekking till you reach Kandang Badak Shelter where you’ll set up camp for the night.
Day 2 – Kandang Badak / Mt. Gede Peak / Cibodas / Jakarta
At 3 am wake up for a light breakfast with a hot coffee or tea before beginning your climb to the peak of Mt. Gede. Mt. Gede is one of the most popular destinations for trekking enthusiasts and is one of two famous volcanoes that resides in the Gede Pangrango park, the other being Mt. Pangrango. Before you reach the summit, you’ll make a stop at Geger peak for some photos of the breathtaking sunrise. Continue for another 30 minutes till you arrive at Gede Summit. Then its time to celebrate as you’ve completed your trek and savour the panoramic views of the entire park. You’ll get to rest on the summit as your guide prepares some snack s and hot drinks for you. After an hour on the peak, its time to head back to Kandang Badak for a proper breakfast and a rest. Once you’re done with lunch you’ll walk to Cibodas and from there you’re trip comes to an end as you’re driven back to Jakarta.
