Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu/ Kinabalu Park HQ/ Resort
You will start the day by being picked up from your hotel or the airport and departing on a 2 hours’ journey to Kinabalu. It might be a long ride but the journey is more scenic than you think. Look around and marvel at the beautiful surroundings along the way as you make your way through the country roads of Sabah. Keep an eye out for the Crocker Range valley and villages sprawled across the entirety of the road. Along the way, take a stop at Nabalu as well where local natives sell their fresh produce, fruits, vegetables and handicraft as souvenirs. This tourist hotspot is also located close to Kundasang where the Kundasang War Memorial is. You definitely have to put the two into your next travel list as both are rich in history and nature’s abundance. Upon your arrival at Kinabalu, you will head for the park HQ where you will check into the Kinabalu Pine Resort or other similar accommodation (depending on the availability) and rest yourself for the day. The remaining of the day is free for you to use at your own leisure as you wait for dinner which will be served for you at Balsam restaurant. Then, rest and ready yourself for an exciting day ahead.
Day 2 - Park HQ/ Timpohon Gate/ Ascend Mount Kinabalu/ Lemaing Dormitory
Wake up, get up and pack up your belongings first thing in the morning. You will first check yourself out from the resort before proceeding to the Kinabalu Park Headquarter to collect your packed lunch. After collecting your grub, continue registering yourself for the climb before going on the actual hike. From there on, your guide will help you settle the administrative matter including filling in the registrations, assigning you a mountain guide and applying for your ID Tag, the latter of which must be worn at all times.
With that settled, you will be transferred to the starting point Timpohon Gate to start your climb. Strap up and get pumped up as you climb Mount Kinabalu, Borneo’s highest mountain. The track will allow you to pass and experience different hiking terrain ranging from Oak and Chestnut to mossy and alpine vegetation terrain. Along the way, be sure to exercise caution as you make your way up as the air can get thinner the higher you go. However, you will also be happy to know that the mountain allows for a panoramic view of the horizon from atop. Breathe in the fresh air as you toil away with each step knowing it is getting closer to your end goal. Once you reach a height of 3,230 m, you will check into Panalaban Assorted Hut where you will be spending the night. By then, it will be late afternoon so do not forget about your packed lunch! To reward your day’s effort, there will be a buffet dinner at Laban Rata restaurant before you retire for the day at your hut.
Day 3 - Low's Peak / Descend Mount Kinabalu / Kota Kinabalu

After the picturesque sunrise, head back to Panalaban for a late breakfast and check yourself out before trekking back down to Timpohon Gate and transferring back to Kinabalu Park Headquarter.
There, you will be awarded with your own Certificate of Achievement for conquering Borneo’s highest peak as buffet lunch is served to commemorate your achievement at Balsam Restaurant. Then, head back to Kota Kinabalu on a 2 hours’ journey as you conclude your exciting hiking journey.
