Tour Description:

Mountain biking is not like your ordinary city cycling experience. There is so much to learn and master when it comes to the rocky and winding terrain of the mountain. However, the scenic view from atop, the rush of the wind on your cheeks as you cruise through the tracks and the memory the entire adventure make mountain cycling something worthwhile to learn from. And what better way to train for the mountain biking adventure than the firsthand approach at one of Bali’s most iconic cycling destination - Mount Batur? This tour will bring you around the best places and spots around the mountain, allowing you full view and experience of the surrounding forest and scenery. Find yourself taken for a ride with the serene local life and the friendly local inhabitants. Wave your hand and say hi to the local residents going about their daily activities around as you relish the change of scenery from your everyday Denpasar’s hustle and bustle. It will definitely be the highlight of your time in Bali. The bike ride is also suitable for both beginners and regular cyclists so come and meet new friends as you share the experience together. This is the perfect trip to enjoy with your buddies and loved ones.

You will be picked up from your hotel and be driven to Mount Batur first thing in the morning. Once you are there, gear up and ready yourself for the adventure. Right from the start, you will be able to feast your eyes at the beautiful view before you as this volcanic mountain mesmerises you with its diverse and colourful views. You will cycle along the quiet back roads of the mountain, passing by villages and fields for around 4hours. This will also allow you time to take pictures of the many scenic encounters along the way so get your cameras ready and set to go. You will also make a stop at some local temples, try out traditional snacks and fruits along the way. In case you ever need to rehydrate, you can always get back to the support vehicle nearby to cool yourself off. Then, you will conclude your tour and be transferred back to Ubud of South Bali.

• This bike ride has an advanced difficulty level
• Tour is suitable for experienced mountain bikers only with great fitness and strong bike handling skills. Riding is primarily on single track. Sections of the trail can be challenging with frequent descents of significant length. Trail conditions can change rapidly due to weather conditions and natural elements. Please make sure you are not choosing a tour that is too difficult for your skill level. This is your vacation, not an army camp!
• This is an Enduro style mountain bike ride with car shuttle up in between the trails
• The type of bike used is:
• A well maintained 2019 Polygon Siskiu T8 bikes (please note that for this ride only our full suspension bikes are suitable).
• The bikes come with standard with flat pedals but we also have Shimano spd pedals available
• There are also Shimano spd shoes available (Shimano ME2) that can be rented at IDR100,000 (US$7) per day. We have sizes 42,43,44 and 45. We will have woman shoes in size 38,39 and 40 available as well later on
• Transfer duration above are estimated and subject to traffic and weather condition, and not inclusive of any sightseeing tours
• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during the stipulated time
