Tour Description:

Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or a novice climber, this abseiling adventure will definitely become your unforgettable and once-in-a-lifetime experience! You can channel your inner Indiana Jones by abseiling the cliffs of Marble Mountain. Abseiling or rappelling is an activity of descending the cliffs and steep slopes using the abseiling ropes, a friction device and a harness. Our professional guide will show you how to enjoy this activity and ensure you have a wonderful time descending the Marble Mountain. We will begin this journey by picking you up from your hotel in Hoi An and transfer you to the Marble Mountain. In around 30 minutes, we will arrive at the starting point and continue to walk up for about 15 minutes to reach the rappelling area. Before we try the real thing, our guide will teach you about the basics of knot tying, harness wearing, the necessary hardware and other proper abseiling techniques at the practice slope. After you get the hang of it, we will head down to the 3 rappels route for the day.

Just a short walk away from the practice area, we will reach the vantage point with a stunning scenery. While abseiling from this 22-meter-high cliff, you will get a fantastic bird’s-eye-view of the ocean and feel like you are flying down from up above. Next, we will abseil down into one of the caves at the Marble Mountain. We will explore the particular cave used as a hideout by the Vietcong during the war. Located 15 meters down the cliff, this cave has also been utilized as a place of worship by the locals. Our final rappelling route is a 25-meter-drop from the cliff which will get your adrenaline pumping. After we are done with our amazing abseiling adventure, we will take a break and indulge in our picnic lunch. If we have some extra time, we will discover other caves housing temples in this area and learn about the ancient mythology of the mountain’s origin. Apparently, it was an eggshell left behind by the dragon king after the birth of a beautiful princess. Well, whether you believe the legend or not, you will definitely have a good time abseiling at the Marble Mountain. We will conclude this tour by transferring you back to your hotel in Hoi An.
