A splendid adventure through nature as you explore the rarest animals in the world, all at Zoo Negara Malaysia!
Animal lovers rejoice as we venture out of the hustle and bustle of city life and get in tune with the beauty of nature. Situated just 13 km from the capital of Malaysia is a 110-acre plot of land that has been transformed into a wonderful open concept National Zoo. With a host of stunning exhibits ranging from aquariums to insects, the National Zoo has been highly dedicated to the conservation of the many exquisite animal and plant species on this planet. The Zoo is also working on breeding highly endangered animals for an impressive release program which includes animals such as the milky stork, hornbills and freshwater crocodiles.
The park regularly holds many events that allow guests to participate, hands-on, and interact with the various species of animals including tropical fishes and snakes. The animals housed within have slowly developed unique traits that are easily identifiable. As such, signs at the enclosures invite visitors to guess the name of the animals based purely on their behaviour. The biggest attraction in the National Zoo is the brand new Giant Panda exhibits. These rare, cuddly bears are the premier mascot of China and will reside in the comfort of their superb, new home. Visitors are also encouraged to attend the zoo’s animal shows, where sea lions and macaws can be seen flaunting their finest skills. Children are highly welcomed to the zoo grounds, and many interactive sessions and seminars are held to educate them about the importance of preserving flora and fauna.
